The House of Night

So recently, I found this book series called 'The House Of Night'. And it is totally AWESOMAZING!!! I don't think I'm just bias because of my love for good, non-cliche romance novels, but this is my very first vamp book series. No, I didn't read Twilight. My Mom didn't and doesn't allow me to read it. Ugh! But, now, I'm pretty sick and darn tired that everyone is so obsessed with this out-of-reach-for-me-alone book.
And another thing that shocks me is why The House Of Night isn't as popular as Twilight.

So, anyways, I totally and absolutely recommend The House Of Night to anyone interested. I know I've been totally obsessed, probably just as one would be all over Twilight. But this series has like 8 books! XD I'm almost totally finished the series. :) Aren't you proud of me? But in truth, if you knew me, you'd know that I love to read and I read A LOT,...  so yeah...

So if you see the book in the library or wherever, go ahead and try it.

...I feel like some weirdo commercial lady... -.-

Beware of Dog

So I was thinking, as I drove past a house that had a sign: ' Beware of Dog ' And I said to my Daddy, "What if I were to have a sign that says: ' Beware of God '. Would it have the same effect?"

And as I think more about it, I don't think it would. If someone were to see beware of dog, I think they'd be more afraid of a dog than God. And I only think that because most of the criminals, etc., don't believe in God anyway so... But they believe in dogs...
And I'm not comparing dogs to God, so no hate, please. :)

What other sign mix-up stuffs do you guys know?

FictionPress!!!

Bonjour mes amies!! XD I'm learning French for school. :)

I am now alerting y'all that I am actually on the wonderful good for everything site called FictionPress. So you can look me up if you so choose. On it you'll a lot of rambling, but you can skip all my Bla's and just scroll all the way down to the bottom where you'll see some of my poems and stories. :)
You guys can also join too! It's basically (for those who don't know) for people who want to get their stories, etc, out there without publishing to get money or whatever. But no one can steal your work. If they do you can just alert the 'Authorities' and they'll get them all rallied up.... if that's the correct term... ;)

Black and White Pictures

I love taking black and white pictures. There's just this gentleness and peacefulness about them.

But sometimes you can get black and white without changing the settings on an overcast day. You just have to wait until the sun peaks out a little behind the tree or whatever and take it before the camera adjusts the light like what I did for this one... It would be called back lighting. When the light is behind the subject and therefore makes a silhouette thingy.

But you can kind of see the colour in the tree.

Stupid Lizard!

So at the same time I was fooling around with my camera when I took the pictures of the Gully(see previous post) I saw this lizard on my fence (this is all in my back yard). I kept on trying to take pictures of it, but I don't think I got a good one.

I kept changing my settings for each one, but while I was changing them the last time, the lizard scurried away, unnoticed. But instead of taking pictures of the lizard itself, I think I more took pictures of my neighbour's back yard.

Pollution

OK.
So the other day *cough* yesterday *cough* I was taking pictures for the Photography Club I'm in, and I started taking pics of the gully behind my house. And let me tell you, it was aweful. There's garbage everywhere. Totally disgusting.

Please tell me what you think. No. I probably know what your going to say.
"Ewwwwww! Why are you polluting the gully like that!?"

But the thing is, it's not me, my family, nor my neighbours. There's just this big huge supermarket thingy across the gully and I think they might be the cause.
But it might not be them either. Gullies run for miles and miles and more miles. This rubbish could have come from somewhere further up and just traveled down along with the flow of the water.

And the thing is. The government sometimes cleans the gullies. But then the garbage just comes back. And they don't have millions and millions of dollars to clean gullies all the time. We need to get people to know that they can't pollute the gullies with their garbage. It's just not fair.
Jamaica is supposed to be this awesome place for tourists and such but what tourist would want to see that?
